The New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System (NMVAHCS), Albuquerque, New Mexico intends to enter into a sole source Consignment Agreement with Howmedica for Simplex P Bone Cement with Tobramycin. Howmedica will provide this product, which will be readily accessible to the NMVAHCS.

The agreement will be for a twelve month base period with four one-year renewal option year periods available. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 13 Simplified Acquisitions, in conjunction with Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 15, Contracting by Negotiations.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113.
The Small Business Size Standard (SIC) is 500 employees.

This requirement will be awarded on an unrestricted basis. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the product. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than August 5, 2005 at 4:00pm Mountain Time. Information received will be considered solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received the NMVAHCS, will proceed with the intended consignment agreement.
