VA Connecticut Healthcare System intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Karl Storz Endoscopy America, 10111 West Jefferson Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232 to provide upgrades to existing Karl Storz laparoscopic instrumentation. Upgrades shall include, dissectors, gall bladder/atrumatic graspers, closure devices, KOH macro jaws curved left ergonomic handle with ratchey, laparoscopic vascular cross clamp, closure device/suture retriever (bercifascial), etc. This procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302. Businesses who feel they may be capable of providing these upgrades (brand name or equal to) shall submit all applicable information to VA Connecticut by September 23, 2005, 2:00pm (local time). The information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of VA.
