The United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), Directorate of Contracting, Fort Belvoir, Virginia intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Depuy Mitek, INC, 325 Paramount Drive, Raynham, Massachusetts 02767-5199. This is a notice of intent to issue an award to, Deput Mitek, INC, to provide a cautery (VAPR) device and associated accessories used for arthroscopy surgery cases. The requested VAPR and associated accessories are the only items that will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses are due no later than 11 March 2013 at 09:00 AM EST.
