The Department of Veterans Affairs, SAO Central, Network Contracting Office 10, located at 3140 Governor s Place Blvd., Suite 210, Kettering, OH 45409 intends to enter into a sole source purchase order agreement with Karl Storz Endoscopy-America, Inc., 2151 E. Grand Avenue, El Segundo, CA 90245-5017. This is a FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) sole source procurement made under the authority of Other Than Full and Open Competition IAW FAR 6.302-1 and 41 USC 3304(a)(1). It is the Government s belief the proposed candidate is the sole proprietor of the required image recording, archival and retrieval software compatible with the existing Karl Storz Endoscopy-America OR-1 Video Integration system. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334510 and the Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
