The VA National Acquisition Center will issue RFP 797-NC-04-0012 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), Indian Health Service (IHS) and Bureau of Prison (BOP) requirements for Amantadine HCl Capsules. Amantadine capsules have an estimated annual usage of 23,209 bottles of 100 and 4,728 bottles of 500. The estimated quantities listed above are for VA and DoD only. The estimated quantities for IHS and BoP will be provided once the solicitation is issued. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors (PPV). Capsules must be compatible with automatic dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.) and if the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Glass bottles are not acceptable.
