The VA National Acquisition Center will issue RFP 797-NC-04-0027 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), Indian Health Service (IHS) and Bureau of Prison (BOP) requirements for Amantadine HCl Capsules. Amantadine HCl Capsules have an estimated annual usage of 24,430 bottles of 100 and 4,746 bottles of 500. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors (PPV). Capsules must be compatible with automatic dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.) and if the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Glass bottles are not acceptable.
