The Syracuse VA Medical Center has the need to purchase 4 Argon Plasma Coagulators: 3 with GI Lab set up and 1 with OR set up. SCOPE OF WORK: Provide an electrosurgical generator that provides constant voltage and peak power system where the wattage will adjust to the tissue providing a consistent tissue effect regardless of the type of tissue, size, or pathology. Provide a system with highcut and drycut used in transurethral bladder resections and transurethral prostate resections. Supply proprietary waveforms designed for endoscopic retrograde cholangiogram pancreatography sphincterotomy, polypectomy, endoscopic mucosal resection, and endoscopic submucosal dissection which alternates between cutting and soft coagulation for precise controlled resection with proper hemostasis. The system must have the ability to utilize circumferential probes and filter integrated probes which provides patient safety and eliminates cross contamination by not using reprocessable hoses. The circumferential probe provides for a tangential angle with a conical fashion to protect against submucosal gas bleb formation. Argon coagulation that provides two pulse modes, one being a forced mode for ablation of tissue and precision mode for gentle controlled dosing of argon plasma based upon the feedback from the tissue target. A system that contains an irrigation pump to flush tissue, debris, and/or blood to directly visualize to perform procedure. The tubing must be able to be used with tubing that can be changed daily to avoid the reuse of equipment which is a standard in VA systems. Water bottle holder for pump to use disposable water bottles. A programmable system to input provider preferences which decreases human error and increases patient safety. Instruction and operation manuals electronically to be able to write policy and procedures. The system must also be software upgradable, contain foot pedals, a monopolar cable, and the ability to accept bipolar resectoscopes. Onsite training will also need to be provided to staff, identification of presentation mode to be identified. Descriptive literature and the technical specifications to be provided. Provide details of equipment warranty, including, but not limited to parts and labor costs, availability of service and response times. Inclusion of electronic copies of service manuals is requested.
