The John D. Dingell Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI, 48201 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Boston Scientific, One Scimed Place, Maple Grove, MN, 55311 for a consignment agreement to purchase biliary stents. These stents are utilized during the performance of diagnostic Radiology procedures. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service Internet address: http//www.arnet.gov/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses received, will be made entirely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
