The VA Puget Sound Health Care System, Seattle WA intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the OPMI Vario S88 System. This requirement is unique that the operating microscope is currently being utilized on station and additional upgrades are required. This proposed action in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b) (1) (i). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. If however, any source believes it can furnish the commodity described above it is encouraged to furnish information about its product and services, as well as references from other customers who are using the same product.
