This is a synopsis for a Cost Per Test for Chlamydia and Gonnorhea testing. Cost Per Test – Provide at No Charge machine for Chlamydia and Gonnorhea testing. Provide consumables on a Cost Per Test basis. Includes instrumentation, preventative maintenance and analyzer service with the purchase of reagents and expendables to perform diagnostic testing in the laboratory. Basis for reagent and expendables purchase will be 35,000 tests per year. Contractor will place a state of the art DNA detection analyzer processing incubator and centrifuge in the laboratory. System will utilize Strand Displacement Amplification (SDA) for direct qualification detection of Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae in endocervical swabs, male urethral swabs and urine specimens in symptomatic or asymptomatic patients. Reagents will be stored at room temperature and samples should be able to be completely processed and analyzed in one room with bench space not exceeding 10 to 13 feet. Analyzer should be able to run Gonnorhea and Chlamydia simultaneously out of one specimen collection vial without additional or separate preparation steps which optimize workflow to produce timely patient results. The contract will be written for a Base year and Four option years. Period of performance for the Base year will run from 1 Oct 06 - 30 Sep 07. The Four option years will run as follows 1 Oct 07 – 30 Sep 11. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The applicable NACIS code is 334510. Basis for award is Price and Past Performance. Past performance is approximately equal when compared to price.
