THE PURPOSE OF THE MODIFICATION IS TO CORRECT THE COMPANY NAME IN PARAGRAPH 2.
The Contract Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Physio-Control, Inc. cage code (28494) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The Fire Department, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for LP15 Monitor/Defibrillator, 1 each; LP15 Ship Kit, 1 each; Edge System Electrodes w/Quick-Combo Connector P/N 11996-000091 2 each; test load, English P/N 21330-001365, 1 each; Mobile Battery Charger P/N 11577-0001, 1 each; Li-ION with fuel gage P/N 21330-001176, 4 each; Carry Bag for LP15 P/N 11577-000002, 1 each; shoulder strap, 11577-000001, 1 each; carry bag rear pouch, P/N 11260-000039, 1 each; top pouch, P/N 11220-000028, 1 each.
Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required items needed. The Lifepak 15 offers the compatibility and functionality that is required for emergency services at MCAS, Cherry Point. The Fire Department and Emergency Services at the Naval Hospital utilize the Lifepak 12, Lifepak 15, Lifepak 1,000 which all have interchangeable electrodes for monitoring and therapy. Therefore, the government intends to procure these supplies on a sole source basis from Physio-Control, Inc. the authorized maintenance and repair facility in the local area.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered.
Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
