The BVAMC must upgrade Qnty. 2 Zoll R Series Defibrillators with SPO2, EtCO2, and NIBP functionality to conform to existing fleet.
Pulse Oximetry (SPO2) Module Salient Characteristics:
Pulse Oximetry (SPO2) Module must be compatible with Zoll R Series Defibrillator.
Pulse Oximetry (SPO2) Module must use Zoll/Masimo LNCS sensors.
Pulse Oximetry (SPO2) Module option must continuously and noninvasively measure the oxygen saturation of arteriolar hemoglobin at a peripheral site (e.g., foot, toe, or finger).
Pulse Oximetry (SPO2) Module must display the following pulse oximetry information in the SPOW area on the Zoll R Series Defibrillator:

End Tidal Carbon Dioxide (EtCO2) Module option be indicated for the continuous noninvasive monitoring of end tidal carbon dioxide (EtCO2) and respiration rate in patient requiring ventilator support, in-hospital transport, or anesthesia.
End Tidal Carbon Dioxide (EtCO2) Module must support two methods for continuous measurement of end tidal carbon dioxide (EtCO2) and respiration rate.
Use of CAPNOSTAT 5 Mainstream CO2 sensor attached to an airway adapter that connects to an endotracheal tube, mask or disposable mouthpiece.
Use of LoFlo CO2 module to monitor both non-intubated and intubated patients using specially designed sampling cannulas and airway adapters.

Non-Invasive Blood Pressure (NIBP) Module option must be compatible with Zoll R Series Defibrillator.
NIBP Module option must use Zoll supplied or specified cuffs, hoses and connectors.
NIBP Module option be indicated for the non-invasive measurement of arterial blood pressure for resting patients in critical care and in-hospital transport.
NIBP Module option must perform the following functions:
Take a single blood pressure measurement
Take a STAT measurement (up to 10 measurements with 5 minutes)
Take repeated measurements at user-programmable intervals
Immediately abort any measurement in progress by pressing one button.
Set the cuff inflation pressure to adjust automatically based on the previously measured systolic value.
Display systolic, diastolic and mean blood pressure on the screen.
Configure alarms to go off when the unit detects blood pressure values above or below user-programmable limits.
Display a history of NIBP measurement taken in the last 4 hours.
Interface with strip recorder provided with the Zoll R Series Defibrillator to document events and data.
