The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract for Torax Medical Brand LINX Reflux Management System for the Durham VAMC with Veteran s Health in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)(B) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source IAW 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(5) FAR 6.302-5 Authorized or Required by Statute VAAR 819.7007 Sole Source Awards to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Concerns. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that this product is highly specialized and only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of product will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of 23 Jan 2018 to Veteran s Health, 777 Main Street, Suite 770, Fort Worth TX 76102; Cage Code: 4MG27. The LINX Reflux Management System is a laparoscopic, fundic sparing anti-reflux procedure indicated for patients diagnosed with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) as defined by abnormal pH testing, and who are seeking an alternative to continuous acid suppression therapy (i.e. proton pump inhibitors or equivalent) in the management of their GERD. This device will be needed for first patient candidate at Durham VA on Jan 29.2018. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.
