This proposed contract action is used for Main OR for Evicel Fibrin Sealant (Human) Part # 3905, supplies are compatible and specific to the patients of Naval Medical Center San Diego. The Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The source is Ethicon, Inc. CAGE Code: 10614, NAICS: 339112. Justification: As required by FAR 13.106-1(b), the Contracting Officer has determined that Ethicon, Inc. device is the only company that distributes the supplies that is compatible with equipment currently used by NMCSD. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will only consider firm, fixed price quotations. The attached solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-53.
