FEDBIZOPPS Synopsis Notice VA-248-08-RQ-0413 - The Department of Veterans Affairs, West Palm Beach Medical Center intends to procure on a sole source basis, with Fresenius USA Marketing, Inc. at 920 Winter Street Waltham, MA 02451-1457 for Dialysis equipment. This procurement is for nine (9) Fresenius 2008K Dialysis Systems with bicarb, SMS option, and saline drain buckets, internal blood pressure module and 10cc heparin pump with online clearance, one (1) Blood Temperature Monitor and two (2) Single Needle Option 2008K units. The Fresenius 2008K has the ability to interface with the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) (Hypercare). The Blood temperature volume monitoring equipment provides information of water excess in a patient's body. The Single Needle 2008K is used for patients with a new Fistula (Dialysis Access), and a patient with infiltration problems. This device prevents or minimizes dialysis access damage. The proposed contract action is for supplies and the government intends to procure with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302, FAR 15.308 and FAR 11.105. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties that believe they can meet these needs must supply information about their capabilities no later than 12:00PM EST, 7/25/2008. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using commercial acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR PART 12. No solicitation will be made available. The anticipated award date is July 25, 2008. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
