The Sierra Pacific Network Consolidated Contracting Activity (CCA) is issuing a Commercial Item Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR 12.203 to purchase two (2) Fresenius Hemodialysis 2008K Systems with Bicarb, SMS Option Saline Drain Buckets, Internal Blood Pressure Module, 10cc Heparin Pump and Online Clearance. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is a sole-source justified action as Fresenius USA Marketing, Inc. is the only firm available to provide the dialysis system capable of uploading dialysis data into VistA/CPRS (existing VA systems). The simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 will be used in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. The NAICS code is 339112, with a small business size standard of 500 employees, and the Product Service Code is 6515. The solicitation number for this RFP is VA-261-06-RP-0062.
