THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The VA Palo Alto Health Care System is seeking sources to provide the following items: 1 Product Number: 710200L - Dialog PLUS Evolution dialysis machine Version 9.xx with Solcart Holder system installed 2 Product Number: ABPM Automated Blood Pressure Monitors 3 Product Number: 7102233 ADIMEA - Accurate Dialysis Measurement System 4 Product Number: 7105230 Patient Card Reader - Including five (5) therapy cards 5 Product Number: 7107218 Dialog Computer Interface Hardware 6 Product Number: 7102102 Pyrogen Filter Hardware 7 Product Number: TRAINING Patient Care Staff Training for center 8 Product Number: TUITION TECHNICIAN TRAINING Offerors may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature of their proposed product. Offerors must identify their product as "brand name or equal�. The “equal� product must have the same physical, functional, or performance characteristics as the items reference above. The “equal� product must be capable of interfacing with the existing VA system, in terms of network and integration with the VA’s Electronic Health Record system: VistA and CPRS. The hemodialysis unit specifications are as follows: • System utilizes ceramic pumps • Units weight less than 220 pounds for usability and portability • System can be disinfected using Citric/thermal programmable cycles • Units require annual preventative maintenance (PM) checks • User-defined, linear, and exponential profiles available for chemicals • User-defined profiles available for medications • System can continuously and accurately monitor and trend the dialysis dose (Kt/V or URR) in real time for effective treatment • System has airless bloodline that allow for improvements in Kt/V parameter • Patient specific profiles that can be transferred between units via removable media for subsequent treatments • Unit is a PC based platform • System configurations can be transferred between units • System software upgrades can be uploaded to units through removable media • Units includes automated blood pressure monitors • Unit offers Ethernet connection capability • Unit includes online treatment parameters trending • Unit includes online technician information capabilities • Unit has service mode for technician troubleshooting • Capability of testing internal components for system troubleshooting • Unit offers ability to provide treatment with a single needle • Unit includes pyrogen filter hardware • Display is at least fourteen (14) inches, high resolution color with touch screen • Display monitor pivots at least 340 degrees with relation to the hemodialysis unit • Allows mounting of a sodium bicarbonate cartridge for easy access • System must be compatible and integrated with the proprietary VA patient record systems VistA, specifically the VA’s CP-HEMO application Offerors response shall include the Offerors Company Name, DUNS number, address, point of contact, title, phone number and email address. Offeror shall also identify their type of business (Small or large) and socioeconomic status whether Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Hubzone, 8(a), Woman owned, Small Disadvantaged, etc. The NAICs code for this is 39112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (size standard of 500). Responses are to be sent electronically to [email protected]. Only emailed requests received directly from the offeror are acceptable. Facsimile responses will not be accepted. After review of the responses to the sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to the sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested parties will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to the sources sought notice. Interested parties are reminded to register with the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
