The Centralized Acquisition Service, VISN 6, Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources for the following equipment for delivery to the VA Medical Center in Richmond, VA: Hush-Slush Machine that manufactures sterile slush that is frozen and then put directly on the heart to slow down the beating heart prior to putting the patient on bypass for open heart surgery. Interested parties must submit product data in writing to Rob Betts, Contract Specialist, VA Medical Center, 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA 23667 not later than 4:30pm local time on February 19, 2008. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This requirement is for the purchase, installation, training and maintenance support of a Hush-Slush Machine with the optional auto slush and solution warmer. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with a sole source negotiation with O.R. Solutions, Inc., the only known source of this equipment.
