The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton, Virginia intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with GAMBRO INC for the purchase of Phoenix dialysis system. It has been determined the Phoenix system meets the requirements of the medical center. The unit must have a dialysate delivery system that uses disposable sodium bicarbonate cartridges and bicarbonate concentrate. The membrane must be heat disinfected by the machine with an on-line production of ultrapure dialysate. The system must also have a low consumption mode that reduces the use of O water, acid, and bicarbonate concentrate. Any firm that believes it can provide a system that meets the above requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information may be sent to the Contracting Office, VA Medical Center, Hampton, Va. 23667. Responses received will be evaluated however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with the sole source negotiation with GAMBRO.
