This is a Pre-solicitation Notice. Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound will be soliciting for 68 different Endoscopic Airway surgical equipment items for the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan. Specific information will be listed in the solicitation will be posted to the NECO website on or about 27 May 2011. To be negotiated on a sole source basis with Karl Storz, Inc. per FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. A Firm-Fixed Price, Supply type contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR parts 12 and 13.5, Commercial and Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Items are subject to the Trade Agreement Act of 1979 Terms will be FOB Origin-Government pickup, via Navy Transportation System through Travis AFB in CA – for shipment to Yokosuka, Japan. Specific shipping instructions will be identified at time of award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISCPS.
