The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, KS is looking to procure NovaSure Hologic Ablation Unit for their GYN Surgery Department for the Women Veterans Program. This solicitation uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name (NovaSure Hologic Ablation Unit). Requirements (shall meet or exceed): The proposed solution shall provide bipolar radiofrequency ablation. The solution shall provide ability to adjust to differing tissue depths to avoid pretreatment of the endometrium. The solution shall provide debris free ablation for simpler and more effective treatment. The solution shall provide ability of short procedural time (90 seconds). The solution shall not involve heated fluid potentially entering the abdomen. The solution shall provide a lower rate of complications for patients vs other types of ablation. The solution shall provide ablation without requirement of fluid management to enhance patient safety. The solution shall provide Valsalva leak point calculations.
