DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD AS SOLE-SOURCE under open market FAR part 13 procedures proposed contract to Technical Communities, Inc., for purchase of The Lumenis Selecta Duet lazer system for Manhattan VA Medical Center. Department of Veterans Affairs Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award on a sole source basis with Technical Communities, Inc. (DUNS: 086438152), pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5 and FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). The proposed contract is for The Lumenis Selecta Duet lazer System, which is needed by Ophthalmology Doctors at Manhattan VA Medical Center to perform various eye Surgeries. Market research was conducted and determined that Technical Communities, Inc., is the only vendor capable of providing service necessary that meets the Government s requirements. Technical Communities is an authorized Lumenis Reseller.
