The Department of Veterans Affairs, (VAMC) Biloxi Ms intends to negotiate, a sole source procurement with Sierra Scientific Instruments of Los Angeles CA., for
ManoScan 360 High-resolution Manometry (HRM) System
Hardware:
1. Catheter/Probe:
a) Re-useable solid state tactile sensing technology with 432 distinct pressure data acquisitions points combined to produce 36 channels of circumferential pressure measurements within a 36 cm distal length of the probe
b) Catheter is capable of automatic moisture and temperature correction pre- and post procedure
c) Catheter is used with a disposable sanitary sheath that protects catheter for multiple uses without additional disinfection processes.
2. Workstation:
a) Integrated computer processor and system controller
b) Integrated calibration system with internal inflation pump and pressure response transducers controls calibration sequence automatically
c) 19 inch touch screen flat panel color monitor
d) Keyboard and laser mouse
e) Includes patient isolation transformer
f) portable trolley with large lockable wheels
g) Includes high speed color printer
h) Comes with LAN connection interface card
Workstation - 2 years on parts and service
Catheters - 1 year or 200 uses, whichever comes first. Service and repair.
This announcement is not a requirement for competitive quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone inquiries will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit literature to the Contracting Officer. Responses received on or before April 3, 2009 will be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VAGCVHCS will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Scientific Instruments.
