(1 each) STRETCHER FLITES The award of this sole source contract will be made to Arjo, Inc. 50 North Gary Avenue, Unit A, Roselle, Illinois 60172, FSS Contract number V797P-4397A. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). The parts and systems, that are the focus of this procurement, will be used in conjunction with the sling lifts parts and systems already in place at VAMC Lexington. These parts and systems must be compatible and must guarantee patient safety in conjunction with Arjo, Inc. manufactured parts. Arjo, Inc. cannot guarantee the safety and compatibility of sling lift parts and systems produced by other manufacturers in use in conjunction with Arjo manufactured parts and systems. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract will be based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This Intent to Sole Source neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. This is limited source procurement.
