The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) is conducting Market Research on behalf of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Durham, North Carolina through this sources sought to help determine the availability of qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Small Businesses to provide the following:
Automated Nucleic Acid Purification Preparation Sample Workstations
Allow for automated processing of 1 to 16 samples per purification run.
Processes up to 16 samples in a timeframe of 20-60 minutes.
The instrument meets the physical requirements of our laboratory space by external dimensions of 13 Ãâ 13.6 Ãâ 11.8 inches (WxDxH).
Ability to run automated purification of nucleic acids from tissue, cells and blood. We need a unit that can extract both micro RNA (>20nt) and larger RNA (>200nt) species from a single sample.
Ability to run automated purification of nucleic acids from formalin fixed and paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue samples.
The purification method need to use sample lysis and binding to paramagnetic particles as the primary separation principle.
Ability to use a low elution volume (LEV) format for sample processing allowing for maximum nucleic acid concentration.
Uses heated elution
Reagents supplied in pre-filled reagent cartridges for processing up to 48 samples.
Needs to have pre-loaded processing protocols for operation consistency.
Ability to also run the the Quantus fluorometer allowing purification and quantitation on a single report.
The vendor must be able to provide brand name or equal to Maxwell RSC Systems, manufacturer PN # AS4500.
If the contractor can provide the above item, the contractor shall provide a letter from the manufacturer stating they are an authorized distributor for their products. Failure to submit an authorized distributor letter shall result in the product(s) potentially offered to be considered grey market and shall not be considered technically acceptable.
