DESCRIPTION: The VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Fluke Biomedical RMS SVC Corporation, 6045 Cochran Rd, Cleveland, Ohio 44139-3303, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) FAC 2005-26. This request is for 199 XRay Fluke Biomedical X-Ray scopemeter (2), fluke universal pressure meter model DPK2 Plus, Fluke ventilator/gas flow analyzer model VT PLUS HF, Fluke non-invasive blood pressure analyzer model CUFFLINK-US12, fluke patient simulator model PS420, fluke defibrillator pacer analyzer model IMPULSE 7000DP (2), and fluke electrical safety analyzer model ESA620 (3). Only one responsible manufacturer is known for this procurement. This is notice of intent to award sole source under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Note - No award will be issued from responses to this notice. Response to this notice does not legally bind the government in any manner. Central Time, September 15, 2008, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
