The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan intends to purchase an automated methadone dispensing system for use in the Methadone Maintenance Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this procurement is 421450. The system shall include bottle dispensers, pumps, label printer, bar code reader and software to manage the system. The system shall be capable of dispensing multiple medications and be capable of dispensing methadone in powder, liquid or diskette form. The system shall have a capacity for data for six hundred patients. System shall provide all reports required by the Drug Enforcement Administration for a Methadone Program. System software support must be available twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. Potential sources are invited to submit quotes, provided they are accompanied by product literature. The government shall not be held responsible for the quality of fax transmittals. Proposals are due by Thursday, December 5, 2002 no later than 4:00 PM local time, in room B4213 (if hand delivered) of the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201. The RFQ number 553-05-03 shall be clearly identified on all submitted materials. Proposals received after the due date will not be considered.
