The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to Millar Instruments, 6001-A Gulf Freeway, Houston, TX 77023-5417, on a sole source basis, the purchase of an additional Data Recording Workstation exclusively made by Millar Instru ments. To select another design/manufacturer would require patent disclosure and agreement, design and fabrication capability review, training of technical support and revalidation. This would result in months of delay on several projects and increase cos t to the Government. This procurement shall be under other and full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.301-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is no t a request for competitive quote.
