The ?equal? item must meet the characteristics of the brand name item to be acceptable for award. Basis for Award: Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer fully meets the requirements of the solicitation, provides the best value, with price and technical factors equally important in award evaluation. The materials and reagents requested are specifically designed and optimized for use with the Affymetrix GeneChip 300. The highly sensitive assays performed by this piece of equipment are significantly affected by small variations in reagent quality and composition. The project being performed is a ongoing large scale comparative study that will incorporate numerous data sets.
Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-8501 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-07-274 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis.
