The Naval Hospital Pensacola, Materials Management Department, Purchasing, on behalf of the Main Operating Room, intends to award a sole source procurement to Smith & Nephew for Trigen Nailing Implants, to include the following: 103 Degree TAN Nailing Set, Int Hex Captured 6.4 Recon Screw Set, Trigen Internal Hex 4.5mm & 5.0mm Capture Screw, Trigen Knee Nail Set (nails only), Total Material Trigen Set of Disposables, Total Material Trigen Nail Cap Set. These nailing implants must be compatible with existing sets in use in the Main Operating Room. Award will be made using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and contingent upon availability of FY05 funding. “See Note 22” This procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339113. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same, Smith & Nephew, name brand product, and any discounts that may apply to the government. All capability statements received within 5 days after publication of the synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
