The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive C, Pittsburgh PA 15240 intends to award a sole source contract to Compumedics USA, 6605 West WT Harris Blvd., Suite F, Charlotte, NC 28269 to allow purchase of a EEG/EP Neuroscan System (SynAmp 64 Channel) with additional scan licenses plus STIM System for Auditory and visual stimulation delivery will include hardware software and supporting supplies. Licenses would be perpetual with no annual fees or renewals. To support needed requirements, the SCAN Acquisition software serves as the interface to the SynAmps and NuAmps. SCAN Acquisition provides a multitude of recording options which are saved in unique files that can be recalled for each experiment, ensuring that each individual data set is acquired with the same parameters. The software should be straightforward and simple to use. It is intended that the SCAN Analysis software, or an equivalent product, be a comprehensive tool for processing and analyzing EEG and ERP data. With decades of combined experience and active research collaborations with major research labs world wide, our research and development team has strived to implement every major data processing and analytical tool that is typically used as a transform into the SCAN software. The latest advancements included a programming-based batch processing language, a PCA/ICA filter toolbox and EKG and Blink reduction tools. As new developments occur in the field of neuroscience, Neuroscan will continue to develop its solutions for your research. The sole source acquisition is enacted in accordance with existing authority under FAR 6.302-1. The period of performance will begin on 25, August 2008. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for this acquisition are 334510 and 541710 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responsible sources interested in this procurement shall submit on their company letterhead a statement, which contains clear and convincing information identifying their capabilities to provide the service. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored.
