The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Gyrus ACMI ENT LP, 2925 Appling Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133 (a wholly owned subsidiary of Olympus Surgical America), for 5 Olympus Surgical America Video Chip Tip Rhino-Laryngoscopes, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, since the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System currently has an Olympus ENF V2 Tower System, and only Olympus Scopes will work with this system, and since it would not be cost efficient for the VA to change systems, since it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollar, and since Gyrus ACMI ENT LP is the sole exclusive seller of the above mentioned Olympus Surgical America's Scopes.
