This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12.603(c)(2) will be used. NAICS code is 339112, size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is Open to all responsive/responsible offerors. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-74. Generic product identification: A surgical microscope intended for the illumination and magnification of the surgical area and for the support of visualization in surgical procedures for both the anterior segment of the eye (e.g. cataract, cornea, glaucoma) and, when used in combination with the RESIGHT® non-contact fundus viewing system, the posterior segment of the eye (retina, vitreous). Technical information is required for alternate, non-brand name products in order to make a product comparison by lay persons. No cost shall be paid by the government for said data and the data will be retained by the government as part of the official contract record.
