This SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE is issued in an effort to conduct additional market research for information and planning purposes only. The Department of Veteran Affairs VA Midsouth Healthcare Network (VISN 9) on behalf of the Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Lexington, 1101 Veterans Dr. and Cooper Dr. Lexington, KY 40502 is soliciting information to determine the availability of all small businesses (including Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women Owned, HUBZone, and Small Disadvantage Businesses) capable of performing the requirement indicated below. In your response please indicate the socioeconomic status of your business. The NAICS code is 339113 with a size standard of 500 employees. This means that businesses furnishing the prefabrication and repair of orthotics described below, with 500 employees or less are generally considered small businesses. The requirement is for the following fabrication and repair of orthotics. This notice is for MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES only and does not constitute a Request for Quote or Request for Proposal; and, it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited: no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. At this time no solicitation exists; therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION or respond with a proposal. The VA Medical Center (VAMC) Lexington, KY Prosthetic Service is requiring services for short turnaround times for the fabrication and repair of orthotics. The Contractor shall provide all resources necessary to fabricate and repair orthotics for eligible Veterans. It is the VA MidSouth Healthcare Network (VISN 9) intent to issue a separate solicitation to be synopsized on the FedBizOpps website at https://www.fbo.gov. It is the potential offer's responsibility to monitor this avenue for release of any future solicitation or synopsis. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to meet the requirements that will be listed in the specifications contained in the actual solicitation.
