The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in Milwaukee, WI intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13) with Masimo Corporation, 40 Parker, Irvine, CA 92618-1604 as the only source that has the capability of A handheld Oximeter to perform SpO2, Co-Oximetry, Total Hemoglobin, Pleth Variability Index, Methemoglobin, Carboxyhemoglobin, rainbow R2 SpO2 SpHb and SpMet within the same gravity activated monitor for the Edward Hines VA. Specifically, the contractor shall provide the following: 1 - Radical -7 oximeter with TFT color display, Set SpO2 and rainbow set pulse co-oximetery technology platform , (Part #9086, Quantity 5); 2 - RDS - I oximeter docking station with satshare capability, (Part #9021, Quantity 5); 3 - Total hemoglobin (SpHb) parameter, (Part #2360, Quantity 5); 4 - Pleth variability index (PVI) parameter, (Part #2313, Quantity 5); 5 - Methemoglobin (SpMet) parameter, (Part #2297, Quantity 5); 6 - Carboxyhemoglobin (SpCo) parameter, (Part #2296, Quantity 5); 7- Rainbow DCI - dc 12 adult reusable direct connect sensor, 12 ft (spO2m spCO and spMet) 1 box, (Part #2202, Quantity 5); 8 - Rainbow R2 25 Adult responsible spO2, spHb & spMet, box of 10, (Part #2743, Quantity 5); This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334510 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received within 5 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
