COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION VA246-16-Q-1491 Phacoemulsification Vision System and Handpieces for VA Medical Center Durham **THIS SOLICITATION HAS BEEN AMENDED TO REFLECT A VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (VOSB) SET-ASIDE. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation, written under the authority of FAR subpart 13.5, for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes shall reference VA246-16-Q-1491. This Request for Quote (RFQ) document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-89. The Network Contracting Office 6 - SAO East intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for the delivery and installation of Phalcoemulsification Vision Systems and handpieces, in the quantities identified in the SF1449, at the Durham VA Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. This procurement is being conducted under FAR subpart 13.5 simplified acquisition procedures for certain commercial items and FAR Part 12.603 for Streamlined Solicitation of Commercial Items. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339112 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs). All offerors must be registered in the Veterans Information Portal (VIP), at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, and the System for Award Management (SAM), at https://www.sam.gov, to be considered for award.
