The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a sole source contract to Baxter Healthcare Corporation (Baxter) to purchase one (1) Prismaflex Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) System. This system is being purchased for the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center (VAMC) Nephrology Section, Cleveland, Ohio. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334510, Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing. The Government believes that Baxter is the sole manufacturer of the Prismaflex System. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with a sole source award for the required system. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - 1 only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or information. No solicitation document is available; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist on or before the closing date, 09/21/2015. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent via email to [email protected].
