FEDBIZOPPS NOTICE OF INTENT FOR SOLE SOURCE: The Cincinnati VA Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH received a Sole Source justification for the purchase of four (4) PrismaFlex Machines (including the PrismaFlex Control Unit, PrismaFlo IIS for Prismaflex, and the PrimaFlo II Holder) for the ICUs (MICU and SICU) from Baxter Healthcare Acute Renal Division,1 Baxter Pkwy, Deerfiled, IL 60015, (800) 782-1526. This procurement is for the acquisition of sole source commercial items using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, with a business size standard of 1000. a. Only one responsible source, and no other item will satisfy the Cincinnati VA Medical Center requirement. b. Baxter Healthcare is the only approved source for devices capable of working with current equipment and utilities in order to meet VA standards. There is no other vendor that can supply the devices capable of meeting Cincinnati VA Medical Center requirements.
