This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures IAW FAR 13.  The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 339113.   This award will not be set-aside.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  The intent of this notice is to provide acquisition information and enhance competition by identifying future contracting opportunities for DBS implants.  A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  ***This is not a solicitation for receipt of bids, this is a notice of award***
