This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to AFFYMETRIX to provide the following: AFFYMETRIX GeneChips which allow detection of over 12,000 mouse and rat genes on a single array, the quality of RNA which undergoes amplification, labeling and hybridization to the GeneChips is a critical factor in generating reliable valid data; the GeneChips requested are processed and analyzed in the Affymetrix system to which we have access for this project, and this product must be compatible.
