Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16 intends to enter into a sole source procurement with Carefusion 211, Inc., to provide VMAX Encore equipment and software for the Michael E. DeBakey, VA Medical Center, Houston, TX. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 334510 with a business size standard of 500. The proposed contract is for equipment which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 8.405-6, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested sources may submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates ability to meet the requirements by submitting their interest in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
