NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The Department of Veterans Affairs Bay Pines VA Healthcare System anticipates awarding sole source procurement to a SDVOSB Company Alliant Enterprises LLC, The requirements are to provide 15 Stryker Electric Beds Models FL28EX components and accessories. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and compelling urgency in need for patients care. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by October 27th, 2010 at 2:00 PM. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
