This announcement is a notice that Tricare Heartland, which includes all Military Medical Treatment Facilities in the states of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan, and Wisconsin, is in the process of conducting a Medical Surgical product standardization for the product-line of Blood Pressure Cuffs. If your company currently holds a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) for the Medical Surgical product-line of Blood Pressure Cuffs and meets the following criteria:1.Blood pressure cuffs requires minimal training. 2. The cuff can be easily removed from its package. 3. The cuff is not irritating/damaging to the skin. 4. Cuffs have markings for proper placement over artery. 5. Cuffs can be easily cleaned. Technical criteria: 1.Do your blood pressure cuffs meet American Heart Association standards? Please explain. 2. Do your cuffs meet AAMI standards for durability? Please describe. 3. Does your company manufacture or distribute blood pressure cuffs? 4. What brands of blood pressure cuffs your company manufacture and/or distribute? 6. Can your cuffs be used with any manufacturer equipment? (i.e. adaptors are available to allow connection to a variety of blood pressure devices?) 7. Are your cuffs latex free and hypo-allergenic? 8. List the available sizes of your blood pressure cuffs.(i.e. adult, pediatric, neonatal, bariatric). 9. Are cuffs available with single, double tubes and/or manual bulb tube systems? 10. Does your company provide educational programs and clinical support thriugh a 1-800#? then your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. If your company is not a current DAPA holder for this product line, you are still eligible to participate in the standardization process for this region by contacting the Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia (DSCP), Mr. John Charalabidis at (215) 737-7124 or e-mail at ( [email protected] ) to apply for a DAPA. Your company can be considered once DAPA paperwork is pending at DSCP. After you have notified us of your wish to participate we will notify you of the next steps to take.
