The Department of Veterans Affairs, Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) has a requirement for specialty Echo beds. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price contract. The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the purchase and delivery of the equipment to the Tucson VA. Stress Echo Beds Echos and Stress Tests are performed daily at the SAVAHCS. The associated beds are a requirement for patient testing. The VA is looking to procure the following products or equal: Echo Bed Dual w/HT, TR (Qty. 2) 2. Ergometer Insert 960 Series (Qty. 2) 3. Ergometer Storage Cart (Qty. 2) 4. Echo Bed Dual w/ Height & Fowl (Qty. 5) The acquisition of a stress Echo beds is being initiated to provide cardiology services to Veteran beneficiaries serviced by SAVAHCS. The existing beds at SAVAHCS are nearing the end of their usable lifespan, and the SAVAHCS is procuring replacements. SOUTHERN ARIZONA VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (SAVAHCS): VAMC: 3601 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85723 The applicable NAICS code is 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing. Small Business manufacturers for this NAICS code have a size standard of 1,250 employees.  The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price order. The term of the contract is intended to be 60 calendar days ARO, with no options included. It is anticipated that a Request for Quotes will be issued in December, 2016. Award of a firm fixed price contract is contemplated by January, 2016. This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Small Businesses (SB), or Large Business capable of performing the requirements to warrant a socio-economic set-aside or full & open competition. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database.
