This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334510. The Madison VA Medical Center has a need for four (4) brand name only Grason Stadler Tympstar Pro Clinical Tympanometers. These tympanometers are needed to analyze the middle ear system and are necessary to detect middle ear abnormalities such as middle ear fluid, tympanic membrane perforations, ossicular discontinuity, etc. They are also a useful tool in detecting retrocochlear pathology, such as tumors on the auditory nerve. The results from these tympanometers are used by Ear, Nose, and Throat physicians to further evaluate the medical aspects of middle ear problems. Salient Features four different test modes: tympanometry, reflex threshold, reflex decay, and Eustachian tube function testing selects a test protocol by simply pressing a button large screen makes for easy viewing of test parameters high-speed printer generates reports in concise graphical or tabular formats (does not connect to VA computer and does not store identifiable information) several options for managing and archiving data including internal memory for 26 tests and a standard RS232 for data exchange equipped with three probe tones, 226, 678 and 1000 Hz, to address the diagnostic challenges of every patient simultaneously record and store multiple tympanometry admittance (Y/B/G) for each tracing and determine if abnormal tympanogram is the result of tympanic membrane defect or ossicular chain disorder evaluate neural integrity with complete confidence using the multiplex pulsed-tone stimulus for reflex threshold testing enhanced threshold seek function displays all reflex intensities and provides multiple options to evaluate reflex growth This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334510 and the small business size standard is 1,250 employees.
