Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate a single source Firm-Fixed Price contract for Natus Neurology Brand Viking EDX Base System and Supporting Equipment for the Richmond VAMC with Solcon Inc dba QuickMedical under VAAR 819.7008 Sole Source Awards to verified Veteran Owned Business Concern. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these services are highly specialized, are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of May 15, 2018 to Solcon Inc dba QuickMedical GS, 30200 Se 79th St Unit 120, Issaquah, WA, 98027-8792; Cage Code 6J2M1. The Richmond Electroneurodiagnostic lab currently has an urgent need for additional Viking EDX Base System and Supporting Equipment. The Electroneurodiagnostic lab has traditionally used this equipment which is the same equipment used at other VA facilities and VCU. It is reliable, user friendly, and is the equipment that the facility uses in its current operation. The facility is expanding the lab to meet increase in customer and patient demands. This equipment has the same software that is currently used with other Electroneurodiagnostic equipment and will allow physicians to move from one piece of equipment to the other without delay in patient care. The replacement equipment need to be identical in all aspects for reasons to include, but not limited to, malfunction of Gov't owned equipment, patient influx, and direct swap-ability of equipment. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the contract specialist no later than May 15, 2018 at 0700am EDT of this publication by contacting Jacqueline Ambala via e-mail at [email protected]. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
