The Salem VA Medical Center intends to negotiate and procure commodities on a sole source purchase order to Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions, Inc. for the Xtra Auto-transfusion system and procedure sets for use at the Salem VA Medical Center,1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, VA 24153. Determination of this procurement is in accordance with 41 USC 3304(a)(5), as authorized by 38 USC 8127(b), Sole Source Awards to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any vendor that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by August 15, 2017 3:00pm (EST). Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, Network Contracting Office 6 will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions, Inc. as noted herein. Costs associated with the preparation and submission of information and/or any follow-up information requests are the responsibility of the vendor and these costs will not be reimbursed by the Government.
