The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to contract with Metro Medical for the procurement of one Zeiss O/S Visucam NM/FA with Printer and Table (2660022-1150-841), along with two software licenses (Zeiss O/A FAF License 000000-1834-889 and Zeiss O/S ICG License 000000-1834-888) for the Health Care Center (HCC) in Fayetteville, NC, which is under construction at this time. The Zeiss O/S Visucam NM/FA is to be used in the new Ophthalmology Department. Delivery is to be made to the Fayetteville HCC in Fayetteville, NC for June 1, 2015, which will allow of the completion of construction. The proposed contract is for equipment for which the government intends to contract on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 2:00 PM, September 8, 2014, local time. Interested parties must submit all technical information required to make a determination that the proposed units meet or exceed the specifications of the above referenced unit. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
