INTRODUCTION The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting quotes and subsequently awarding a Single Award, Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order for a single Leica M80 Microscope (Brand Name or Equal). This requirement is in support of the activation of VA Palo Alto Research Center. Please note this is being issued in connection with Request for Information (RFI) 36A77620Q003. This notice serves as the synopsis of the contract action in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.102(a)(1), FAR 5.201, FAR 13.105, and FAR 13.106-1(c)(1). DESCRIPTION Veteran Affairs Palo Alto has a requirement to purchase a single Leica M80 Microscope (Brand Name or Equal) with an authorized vendor to supply and deliver the item(s) identified in the attached Salient Characteristics. The current manufacturer is the basis for design. ADMINISTRATIVE The solicitation will be issued as an oral Request for Quote (RFQ) set-aside 100% to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(c)(1). The applicable NAICS code is 333314 with a size standard of 500 Employees. The solicitation will be issued on or about April 30, 2020 for approximately 10 calendar days. Offerors will be required to submit their offers electronically via email. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
