The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), on behalf of Walter on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), the Pathology Department, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Roche Diagnostics Corporation, address: 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, IN, 46256-0457. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition, FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source (urgency). The contract is intended to procure SARS-CoV-2 COVID Testing Kits and Controller (reagents), used specifically with the Cobas Pro series modular analyzer. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by responding to this notice no later than 10:00am EST,  Monday September 26, 2022 by email to [email protected] and cc: [email protected]. All information submitted should support the offeror’s capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the sole source award.
